How does an Irish family come to start and run a Mexican food business in London?

mexifresh® was founded in 2001, by a husband and wife team, Allison & Eamon Kelly, who share a passion for fresh Mexican style food.
For over 10 years the Kellys have spent many happy hours in their family kitchen, just trying stuff! Charring chillies, boiling beans, mashing avocados, and slicing tomatoes. Many trips to Mexico & the United States have been made, and a considerable library of Mexican cook books have been acquired. Just for the fun of it!
Frustrated by the lack of quality Mexican restaurants in London, who seem to offer insipid bottled salsa, tasteless beans, and a rowdy tequila-fuelled atmosphere – the Kellys took the plunge in 2001 and opened a mexifresh® kitchen in Sheen. We opened our second kitchen in Wimbledon in 2003.
The Kellys' hobby and passion for fresh Mexican food has turned into an obsession to source the finest, freshest ingredients. Almost everything is prepared fresh each day. The team spend hours everyday making sure your food is just right, and that we can prepare your order quickly.
